Raider nation, you just got called out by CBS Sportsline...

"But look at the stats from a larger perspective, and Turner's failure in Washington and Oakland isn't as egregious. Washington was so troubled that Steve Spurrier and Schottenheimer couldn't win there after Turner was fired, and Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs went 30-34 the past four years. As for Oakland, the truth of the matter is this:

Oakland sucks.

Oakland sucked with Bill Callahan, it sucked with Art Shell, it sucks now with Lane Kiffin, and it was going to suck in 2004-05 whether or not its coach was Norv Turner."

So let me get this straight.

Gregg Doyel who for all I know lives in a trailer park down by the river, said back in September that Norv Turner sucks. Now because he has them one win away from the SuperBowl, he is going to recant that story and try to make excuses for him failing in Washington and Oakland. Hmmm....

Oakland went to the SuperBowl with Bill Callahan. Gregg must have forgotten about that, and at this point in time, the Chargers have yet to reach the SuperBowl. Not only is this thread a little premature, it is pretty stupid.

I will give Norv credit for an excellent gameplan he had against the Colts, but to all of a sudden Crown him as the next Lombardi is as ridiculous as the Chargers fan base.

Oh, man, it don't look good for us. That's okay. My Superbowl was last Sunday. Killer game against the Colts don't you think? Us beating Peyton with our 2nd string scrub squad in hostile territory? Pretty good for the retread Norv I must say.

Not trying to stir the pot, but that writer just backhanded you. Messed up. Saying you suck. I mean, you guys do suck, but you're rebuilding. All rebuilding teams suck for awhile. That wasn't cool, kickin' a team while they're down.

So let me get this straight, you're happy with the win over the Colts and you could care less about whether you win or lose against the Patriots? Since your SB was the Colts game?

Considering we have 2 Hall of Famers (LT, Gates), our pro-bowl QB probably out - or playing at 50% - and the pillar of our 3-4 defense Jamal Williams very questionable, yeah, I won't be all that stunned to see them get the snot beat out of them. That is okay, because we are expected to lose big. We can take chances in this game, because people like you and the national media think we may as well not even show up for the game.

However, I tend to think we do stand a chance.

Our D can play with those guys. I think they are going to put Cromartie by himself on Moss, and quite honestly, I think he'll be able to handle him nicely. Our DBs are good enough to play their guys man to man. That will free up the dogs to get to Brady.

We can force turnovers. We proved it all year long. We proved it with Manning (8 INTs in 2 games this year). Our D makes things happen.

Although their D is solid and can hit, they are aged and vulnerable against the run.

Whatever happens, I will toast to this season. It's been rough seas, but fun. Cheers.

Didn't your fan base and team say that your team was good enough to overcome injuries but now you want to use that as an excuse on why you might lose to the Patriots. If you lose it's because your team is not good enough to beat the best team not because of injuries. I mean having everyone healthy sure helped you week 2 and last year right.
