If i understand the situation, so far under Norv, the Chargers have in essense, gotten one game farther than last to this point due to having had to play an extra playoff game.

While i give them credit for winning a tough game in Indy yesterday, i have no question in my mind that Indy is not close to as strong as they were last year, in part due to the loss of guys like Freeney and Harrison. These guys were critical to that teams success on either side of the ball. I also thing you can't underestimate the loss of Rhodes at this point in the year when those intrangibles count oh so much. The rookie LT Ugoh has played brilliantly for the most part for a rookie LT, but his 1st year realities caught up with him in a few key moments of the game yesterday.

I absolutely give credit to San Diego for overcoming injuries of their own, a testament to one of the best GM's and scouting teams (A.J. and Buddy, iknow these guys from Buffalo's big run) in the league right now, but the reality is that they are one game further than last year and it will mean very little if it all ends next week. No one remembers the AFC champion runner-up.
