I personally don't respect people who feel the need to kick others when they're down.
For example, one of my pals at work is a Chargers fan. This guy really loves his team, and bleeds bolts. We talk smack back and forth all the time.
At the beginning of the year when their team looked to be having a meltdown, I didn't talk **** to him at all. I told him that I was shocked they were doing so poorly, considering all the talent they had. I also told him to hang in there because there is no way they will suck all year with that much firepower on their team.
I think we actually got a new form of respect for eachother after that, since I had the decency to leave a bad situation alone. I can also relate to his pain, since it kills me to see what the Raiders have become.
He has also done the same in regards to the Raiders, who are hands down horrible. We only bag on eachother when there is some form of competition to enjoy, and when the smack is fun and not mean.
But hey, to each his own. This is just my story, take it for what it's worth.
