I'm glad that mystery is solved.

Seriously, all this intrigue by Lane Kiffin over who he is going to start comes off as childish and reeks of insecurity.

I say act like you've got a quality team, act like you're proud and confident of the decisions you've made.

Trying to keep the Lions in the dark about who to prepare for, IMO, is a signal you lack confidence in the QB you have chosen to start. And I'll bet McCown or Culpepper, whoever it is, isn't too thrilled with that perception either.

I had to get that off my chest. Go ahead and flame me if you want. That's what the smack forum is for.

That said....how do you think the rest of the team feels about this little charade? If I'm a player I don't like the signals it sends to the rest of the league. Shenanigans are BS! Let's show the rest of the league we are as tough as they are and ready to compete!

I do wonder if this idea of mystery QB is Lane Kiffin or Al Davis. I have a feeling it's Al's idea.

To answer that question honestly, these are the Raiders. I agree that the starter should be named now, but it's not like this isn't a Raider tactic that's been practiced by Oakland before Kiffin was even a thought.

Meh....it's not big deal...there's a very good chance Kiffin indeed isn't comfortable with either QB choice ATM. It really doesn't matter to me....

Eh, one of them will start, eh? Any other promises?

It is a secretive league. Any info you can keep private, ya do it.

Will it change anything? probably not. But it sure gave teh media a ball to chase other than JaMarcus the Hustle.

Shenanigans rock. Gotta do SOMETHING to stay entertained. Hell, Kif should have taken it all the way and penciled in Seabass in at QB. Everytime he's asked, he should respond with JaMarcus Russell.

Are you predicting a Chargers' loss this Sunday?

Here is my prediction: Chargers 27, Bears 16

I dunno, if the Bears can protect Rex "I suck" Grossman to get the ball to his receivers, you guys are toast. If not, you should win.. LT will have his hands full with that run D. Where's your receiving corp? It sounds like Gates is your only viable passing option. Jackson is a moron, and Parker is a drop machine. That leaves your rookie. Not too hot, I would think. The Bears will be tough to beat. If Shottenheimer was coaching I would be leaning more towards a Charger win, but you have Norv and that isn't good. NO MOTIVATION... The players need that from the coach. They will not get that from Norv. On D, your front 7 are still one of the best fronts in the league, but your secondary is very suspect. I guess we'll see on Sunday...
