whats the best program to make a sig and does it take up alot of space on the harddrive and is it hard to use?

Photoshop is the absolute best, there is so much you can do, and it's very easy...

But you can not do much worse by choosing GIMP which is free; it's not photoshop but its pretty cool and make sigs and edit images, requires a bit of skill.

My CS2 is about 500 megs.
Gimp should be less than that.

why does photoshop cost money or something?Can u post a link where i can download these programs and do they take up alot of harddrive? thanks Santana

I bought mine for $100...CS3 is $600 I think...

Once you have mastered or gotten a grasp of how to manipulate images in Gimp, THEN you should think about moving up to Photoshop. Jumping into photoshop raw, you'll get frustrated and lost with all the features it contains. Plus, the newer versions of photoshop require greater computer resources/processing power to operate efficiently. Like Santana mentioned earlier, earlier versions of PS (PS6, PS7) can be bought for about $97~$125.
