That's a great job Acid.
Did you say that was your "first" try or have you been playin' around with
sigs for awhile?
One suggesttion from a design standpoint I would have is whenever you
have a self-contained logo (such as the RF.net) try to keep it from bleeding off the edge of your artwork.
From an asthetic standpoint it will look much more planned regardless of the size of the image.
Pics/photos will look good bleeding off the edge in some cases because they are usually "cutouts" to begin with.
Another thing you can try playing around with is the Brightness/Contrast sliders.
This is a quick way to add richness to your images as you put them together and make different parts standout from the background or each other.

this was my total first attempt i read some of the posts with some info on how to do things and guessed at the rest... i thought i had kept the rf.net logo from bleeding over ill have to fix that...

ok made some minor adjustments based on your feedback raidernexx... i didnt think the background had enough color in it so i adjusted the saturation... i also put a little transparency in to the rf.net logo so it wasnt fighting with my text and i changed the text to stand out a tad bit more although i liked the other font it kinda got lost in the sig... sooooooo now whatcha think?

Hey Acid.
I definitely like the new one better.
The blolder letters in the middle make it easier to read
and check out at first glance.
The transparency on the RF logo looks good too.
One rule of thumb to follow is to try to put a 1/4" border from the sides to place that logo
and it should be far enough from the edge.
Don't be afraid to make the logo smaller too.
The RF.net logo is very recognizable on this site so it's not hard for most users
to determine what it is at first glance.

Adobe Photoshop is the program most of the pros use.
There's a simpler version called Photoshop Elements if you haven't done any graphics before.
Some ppl also use Paint Shop Pro.
