I would never critique a sig even if I thought it totally sucked. I cannot make them, hell I'm lucky I can access this site and type in it successfully - so anyone who can even give it a go has authority over me. I got nothing to tell you but "That's cool" or nothing at all.

It's like, I consider myself a damn good team leader for call centers. Even if I **** up, no one who isn't at least a team leader themselves needs to critique me ... you don't even know what you're critiquing!

There's merit to your message Dee for sure, but not necessarily for everyone IMO.

As a sig maker who's still learning something new each time i make a sig/use photoshop, i like it when people give me direction by giving an honest opinion on what works and what doesn't in the sig... "The background is too bright" or "The arrangement of the sig just doesn't fit" (for example) is all i'm looking for, so i can go back and make it even better...

Ofcouse i can't complain with a "good job" comment but i understand and agree with what Dee's saying...

exactly guru. even if u can't make sigs or are crap at them (like myself) you can still offer something constructive. if you think something can be improved then say so, i certainly know that i would take it on board and certainly would not throw the comment back in your face and say something like, 'you can't do better!' and i'm sure the same goes for all other sig makers. sometimes comments like 'looks great', 'i like it' or w/e can hinder more than help because they don't allow the sig maker to improve.
