Gruden will be a far cry from JDR, Downing.
He runs his practices like games, he pushes for perfection, with an enormous amount of plays offensively. The entire team will work. You look at his first time around, he brought in Rice and Romanowski, 2 of the hardest working players in their era. Throw in Gannon, Brown.....during this offseason, he's laying the blueprint of that type of foundation, guys that are no nonsense, get in and work.
There's a world of difference when you are running about 120 plays in 2 hours versus 60 plays. The confidence you have in your playbook is say 80 plays deep, versus Downing's 30. Makes it so much more difficult for defenses.
