Thread: Raiders Open as Underdogs vs Steelers

The Steelers offense is not good, which means this of course is the game where Pickett throws for 5 touchdowns. I kid....kind of. Joking aside, we should be able to get more stops this week. Their offense is a bottom 3rd of the league offense and I wouldn't be surprised if their OC is fired midway through the season. Their defense is still good at pressuring the QB and creating takeways but they are susceptible to big plays and give up a lot of YPC. They've given up a lot of rushing yards. This could be a get right game for our rushing game. The 49ers torched them and the Browns moved the ball all game but they just couldn't hold on to the ball. As long as we don't turn the ball over, I think we win this game. We should be able to move the ball and I think we get enough stops.

The defense better blitz way more if the front four can't get any pressure. Can't give any NFL QB all day to pick our secondary apart

I don't know if Muti is any better than Van Roten, but we should try something different.

We need throw passes of 30 yds or more, we might get at least a PI.

We need more screens with Tucker as the receiver. Garoppolo has to keep that ball up so it can't be batted down as much as it has been until now.

Too passive on defense, we don't have the talent to let an offense execute their play and we react to it. We need to press the issue and force mistakes on the other side.

Pitt scored 26 against a solid Cleveland defense. Cincinnati could only muster 3 from Cleveland. Our D might be in trouble Sunday night.

Joe Burrow was playing with a hurt calf when he should've been sitting out getting his leg ready to go. And, Steelers defense scored 14 points on a pick 6 and a fumble return for a TD against the Browns so their offense scored 12.

The Steelers defense scored 14 points off turnovers themselves and gave the Steelers the ball near midfield off another turnover which led to a field goal. Offensively they had a 71 yard TD reception, had 9 first downs, and didn't snap the ball in the redzone.

The Steelers have a bad offense. It will be interesting to see how they match up with the Raiders defense.
The Steeler defense is good, but I don't think they are as good as what the Raiders faced in Buffalo.
The Raiders are now getting 1.5 points in the latest line.
