Thread: Speculation After Renfrow Unavailable To Media After Practice

  1. #11
Not sure why McDaniels gave him the extension in the first place. If its a skillset issue, he should have known about it before the extension. Everyone knows how Renfrow earned the extension, by being a creative genius deviating from the playbook. We dont care how you get to the spot....just work with Carr and get there. And as we saw, it cost us inKC. Maybe that type of freewheeling route running does not mesh with McDaniels route trees.
You would think he fits right into that Welker/Edelman type.

Either way whoever leaked Renfrow trade rumors is probably the Raiders trying to drum up some value.....at 13. Million per...that is a lot.

It is a horrible decision to down grade talent to fit the system of a coach who has no job security, if they fail this year and McDaniels is gone, dumping Carr for Jimmy, and dumping Renfro will set this team back years

1000%. We are getting system guys for a coach who refuses to adapt to the strength of the current players on the team. Unless he was given 5 years, it makes no sense. I'm fine with moving on from Carr and Waller but the other decisions we've made are puzzling. I want to be optimistic but I think this is going to be a failure that will take the next coach at least 2 years to fix. We aren't going to be terrible but we are going to be a middling team that doesn't make the playoffs.

We have too much drama for a team that at best is league average. It seems like the players, at least the outspoken ones, aren't fans of McDaniels at all. It just feels like even though we aren't going to be a 2 win team, that this thing is going to blow up because of the asinine decisions we're making.

He'll get to year three unless its like a 1-2 win season catastrophe but it wont be, he'll win 6-8 games in his transition year which will be sufficient. Mark wont want to start over this soon but visiting fans owning Allegiant stadium are going to eat at him. Year three is shit or get off the pot and I dont think he will survive a third losing season. Gruden cant be blamed, Grudens drafting cant be blamed, Grudens players cant be blamed, etc. It will only be either McDaniels is a good head coach or hes not which takes a lot more than just Xs and Os. Being a know it all douchebag nobody likes doesnt help his chances. Hes got an uphill battle ahead of him but he deserves a 3rd offseason to prove if he can do it or not.

Personally I think we win 7-8 games. 6 games or less and they blame the DC and he's the scapegoat. Next year I think will be the same thing, middling around .500 because we don't have a QB who can get it done.

What makes you say this? Mark has backed McDaniels to move on from Carr.

McDaniels will get at MINIMUM another year. I don’t understand or support hardly anything that he and his wonder twin have done. My opinion means nothing. MD has the only one that counts, and I have seen and believe that he’s enamored with these clowns

I believe MD is enamored with what New England did while McDaniels was there, I don’t think it’s theses “clowns” per say, it’s the success the organization had, it was and is a system, only things not changing is the coaches and the QB, the right QB, everyone else is interchangeable, you don’t work within the system, your gone, Tom Landry was the same way with the Cowboys, way back when, it’s the system, Landry took it the extra step and included the QB position, the year after Staubach retired, he called Landry to tell him he might have made a mistake, Landry’s response was “ well Roger, you know we have a system here “ Roger said at that moment he knew he would not be returning to the Dallas Cowboys, the issue was Roger wanted to call his own plays,

the problem was mark hired mcd and zig whom came into town thinking they had their qb and offense in place already, they never ever thought that carr wasn't the answer at qb until mid way thru the yr,hell they even gave carr adams to go along with renfro/waller/josh ...then the season happened which forced a major decision on carr came to pass, exit carr and a fresh start/rebuild, in comes jimmy a short term solution until we get our qb of the future, out goes waller and maybe renfro, we draft out future te/slot wr in mayer/tucker,sign a true wr2 to complement adams and begin to rebuild our defense thru the draft, its a domino effect and we are now on a solid good path for the future, we wont be a playoff type team but will improve everywhere this yr, following yr we continue building and potentially get our future qb is aidan is not the answer
