Where David Carr stated that McDaniels wouldn't allow Carr to do what he does best - reading defenses at the line of scrimmage. And the plays being predetermined as to who the QB is to throw to, regardless if they are open or not.

You all fall to realize that Josh made mediocre qbs look good if they had the intelligence to grasp his system. I'm not saying he is the next Brady but he may be good enough to come in after Jimmy goes down. Look at all the rookie who went to the playoffs. I have high hopes but I'm not fib. If he's brought along the right way he may help us win some games. My hope is he becomes the next qb of the future but the realist in me says he will be a good backup

I agree with Fuck DAVID Carr... but not Derek. Despite anything and everything else, Derek Carr is a good man. He ultimately was not the right QB for the Raiders, but he has been a stand up guy through and through. I won't bad mouth Derek but David is a biased idiot. You can't be an analyst and skew every damn thing in the favor of your brother regardless. He wasn't a good NFL QB and he surely is not a good analyst. A good analyst separates their personal attachments from the subject they are discussing. Whether that be a family member, a favorite team, or a best friend, their job is to give an unbiased perspective PERIIOD

A true analyst gives an unbiased assessment about a player’s abilities and talents, good and bad. When it comes to his brother, David should just shut up. He’s too close to the situation.
