This is the same BS that is going to get some college sued in FBS when the entire stadium "storms the field" after a big win. I don't care if it is a photographer, fan, or whoever. If someone isn't officially a part of the teams and organizations playing on the field they SHOULD NOT, under any circumstance be allowed to even be in a position to get this close to the players. It is a recipe for disaster.

His only legitimate case here would be with whoever runs the Chiefs stadium. I think you could possibly argue that he wasn't protected. Even that's a pretty damn big reach but in this country wouldn't surprise me.
