When BPA, Value and need crash head on...

    Pun intended...

    You draft Jalen Carter DL.

His driving hiccup and stressed out pro day aside, this must be the pick unless a QB drops or we move up to #3.

If I told you a month ago we could get carter at #7 you would of laughed at me.

His game tape didn't change with his hiccups.

Many boards have had him rated the #1 pick for months.

It would improve the Raider defense by leaps and bounds.

Max, Carter and Chandler....think about it.

I agree. If he’s there at 7, you take him

He scares me a little. Who gains pounds and doesn’t work out to the point he’s winded when he’s working out in the biggest job interview of his life?

    Stupid.

And he was apparently drag racing. Henry Ruggs 2.0, except Ruggs was smart enough to prepare for his pro day?

It would be the obvious choice to take Carter, Anderson, or Wilson. I'm hoping 4 quarterbacks get picked and one of these edge rushers fall to 7.
The defense has actually gotten worst. It was not addressed in free agency. If the Raiders trade up to pick 3 and give up picks, the defense and OL are going to be terrible.
Jimmy G will get hurt in the first few games and the rookie quarterback we take with that first pick will be spending the season picking himself up from getting hit.

Carter, Anderson, and Wilson are elite edge rushers you don't see in every draft. I don't see any of the quarterbacks in this years draft as elite.

I don't think McDaniels and Ziegler have three years to fix a team that was in the playoffs before they took over. They have to nail this draft.

I think Carter is going to be a problem until he matures. Racing and leaving the scene, then showing up heavy and so out off shape he's winded weeks after the combine speaks volumes about his dedication and work ethic. Pass on Carter.

If he’s not committed to football 100%, these guys will know and they will pass on you. Pure and simple.

It seems like the Pats always had great linebacker play and good linebackers in general. Maybe grab that Georgia backer Nolan Smith? Maybe 7 is way too early for a LB, but they’ve just ignored the position forever. Kelce keeps on killing them and they do nothing.

Laziness scares me. I get Rolando McClain vibes. He was a piece of shit.

Prisco now has the Raiders taking Carter with the 7th in his latest mock after 4 QBs go in the top 5.
He also has Wilson falling to 9.

I'd be curious as to Carter background outside that one week cluster he had with the driving and pro day. If he's clean outside those events you can maybe write off as a bad week, One event dragging into his proday. I don't remember hearing anything about him prior to the racing. Who here didn't drive fast and horse around. He wasn't high/drunk when it happened.

If he's clean other wise some team is going to get a blue chipper.

Edit: Did some research on Carter. He drives a Jeep trakker that has 707 hp and has been a terror diving around campus and has gotten speeding tickets. The cops have had problems with the whole Georgia teams driving escapades. Couldn't find anything regarding drugs or assaults etc. Does a decent job with his mother doing community service projects.
