To be honest, this is actually a solid plan

I like where we are heading and how we arrived at this point. Here is why?

1). QB- I have always been a DC fan and actually will still root for him, BUT- he is not a champion leader. I don't think he will ever win the BIG GAME. Face it, some people just don't have the "IT" factor, and I believe that was the case for DC.
2). TE- I think Waller reached his pinnacle and now is on the down side with a over priced contract. He only played 50% of the games over the past two years. I also liked Foster, but he was average at best and was going to ask for quite a bit, so keeping our young rookie, signing Howard and Hooper (both can catch and block) made us better for less money

We have added 20 players in Free Agency (including our own resigned) and still have $27 million in cap room, PLUS picked up draft picks (12)

Our Free Agents so far: 13 offensive players and 7 defensive players

    Offense
    QB- Jimmy G
    RB- Ameer Abdullah
    RB- Josh Jacobs tagged
    FB- Jakob Johnson
    WR- Jakobi Meyers
    WR- Philip Dorsett
    WR- Cam Sims
    TE- OJ Howard
    TE- Austin Hooper
    OL- Jermaine Eluemunor
    OL- Brandon Parker
    OL- Hroniss Grasu
    LS- Jacob Bobenmoyer

    Defense
    DL- Jordan Willis
    DL- Jerry Tillery
    LB- Robert Spillane
    CB- Brandon Facyson
    CB- David Long
    S- Marcus Epps
    S- Jaquan Johnson

Players I would love for us to still pick up 2-3 of these players. Griffin, Risner and Ford would be HUGE...

    CB- Rock Ya Sin
    CB- Shaquille Griffin
    OL- Dalton Risner
    OL- Donovan Smith
    OL- Isaiah Wynn
    DL- Poona Ford
    DL- Frank Clark

Then we can draft aggressively and fill our roles with Free Agents after the draft when the prices have dropped.

Good post. It appears Ziegler and McDaniels want to bring in their own guys through the draft, change the culture.

I hear rumors that he is alienating players, but there was no substantiation to that. Hey, if they don't like it, leave. That's left-over culture of Oaktown, players running the show under Al Davis.

The guys brought in and kept are PROS. They come with hardhats, lunch pails and go to work. No fluff, no hoopla. NE West. They will clean out the nonsense as soon as they hear it.

If they were in charge of the Ruggs/Arnette draft, no way we would have touched either. Maybe we would have still went have Clelin, but if you got more than football going on.....they will steer clear of you. We got the lunch pail guys in there, now they laydown the culture to build on, we start to add to the foundation of Crosby. And yes, players buy in when you win.....that ultimately need to come in 2024.

I don't see any reason they wouldn't have taken Ruggs.

    Arnette I agree.

    The culture is changing.

We reward men who play hard, produce and are winners.

    Fake leaders need not apply.

We will build through the draft.

No more multi-year deals that mean guys get paid and don’t produce. If you do, you’re gone.

If you perform on a one-year deal and produce we will re-sign you to a fair deal. We won’t overpay.

Once a Raider always a Raider and the best way to do this is by producing and winning.
