Look who is available & why not them?

I picked these guys out of the top 100 list on NFL.com simply because they are spread out as far as ranked at their position, therefore affordable. Plus, they pretty much cover our needs before the draft.

Dalton Schultz 27 TE (I love this guys catching ability)

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson 25 CB (the top available at his position and is known as a dog)

Rock Ya-Sin 27 CB (he was decent for us and had a great attitude)

Shaquille Griffin 28 CB (might cost more than Ya-Sin, but is better)

Frank Clark 30 Edge (this guy caused us so much trouble when we played against him)

Poona Ford 27 DL (had a down year but has huge upside with solid previous years)

Dalton Risner 28 OG (this guy plays with big passion and would come to us with Bronco experience)

Who would you drop, or replace with someone else?

Dalton Schultz 27 TE (I love this guys catching ability)pass, cheaper younger option in teh draft

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson 25 CB (the top available at his position and is known as a dog) play mostly slot/nickel what do we do with hobbs ???

Rock Ya-Sin 27 CB (he was decent for us and had a great attitude) maybe, has experience in the system but was hardly a difference maker

Shaquille Griffin 28 CB (might cost more than Ya-Sin, but is better) prefer marcus peters

Frank Clark 30 Edge (this guy caused us so much trouble when we played against him)would love to add frank clark or clowney unless we draft tyree/myles murphy

Poona Ford 27 DL (had a down year but has huge upside with solid previous years)would be a nice add to help our dt group

Dalton Risner 28 OG (this guy plays with big passion and would come to us with Bronco experience)love risner as an add

Dalton Risner 28 OG, I would love to get this guy at the right price. If we protect Jimmy, it could be a great year.

CBJ just went to the Lions recently, correct?

Hopefully some quality guys wait till after the draft for more maneuvers. I wonder if anybody enticing is due for a post June 1st cut this offseason.

Agreed on getting Risner and Marcus Peters. Instant starters, can bring along prospects at a slower rate.

Poona Ford should be a top priority for the Raiders right now. Interior DL in FA and draft will reap a lot of rewards for Maxx and C. Jones. Was a big difference last year comparing to 2021. We actually had a nice DT / interior line rotation that allowed Crosby and Ngaukoue to feast.. changed some outcome of games. Our interior D line in 2022 was not very good at all.

OL is one of the hardest positions to judge coming out of college. I wish they would spend some money on a proven vet.

Josh Jacobs said he would play under the tag if the Raiders improved the team. Have they?

I agree, even when they are good the learning curve can be difficult. we need someone ready for next season as well as some draft talent to learn.

Josh came into the league with low mileage although recently some hard mileage. With that said I would give him a decent 3 year deal that makes him happy and cap friendly. They are already on the hook for 10.1 million anyway..
