$45,000,000 was guaranteed at signing and the Raiders will take a huge hit in 2024 no matter what they do with him.

It looks to me as though Ziegler made the contract with the intention of keeping Jimmy G thru 2024 since the dead cap in 2025 is down to $3,750,000. If not, Ziegler is stupid.

18 million dead is not a huge hit in the NFL QB world. A 28 million hit for a starting NFL Qb is not huge, for us. Z has done well with the contract, they can go either way with Jimmy G, trade him or keep him as QB1. 11 million to the receiving team is cheap. Which gives us that option as well. Especially if McDaniels thinks QB 2 is ready to go in 2024.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham has agreed to terms on a one-year deal, worth up to $18 million with the Baltimore Ravens, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported. The team later announced the news.

I'm assuming there are a lot of things he has to hit like playing more than 12 games, a higher catch rate, yards, etc. Still a ridiculous contract for a receiver who has 2 ACL tears in the same knee and has made a career out of a catch that happened 6 years ago

if we traded him off next yr 2024 we would get a pick for him plus we are not responsible for his base, roster or workout bonuses so the hit should be min

Depends what day we trade him, the roster bonus is paid on the 5th day of NFL 2024. He's dead 7.5 in 2024. If we trade him in June, cap hit is a little over 18, before the 5th day of the NFL year, 7.5 dead.
