If the Raiders do that, does that 40 million go against the salary cap ?

It's too bad the Raiders can't trade Carr to themselves to suit that Carson Palmer narrative. One of the dumbest trades in history, btw.

Yes, and he can decline any trade they offer. The raiders are NOT in the position of strength in this situation. Its funny how a dude can get screwed over by baby huey and dipshit Mcdaniels and some of you harbor a lot of hate for a guy who did nothing but give to the Raiders. He is going to do whats best for him and the Raiders front office going to have to swallow it.

you really think your boys is in such a strangling position, well mark can pay him the 40 million and make him the toilet cleaner for 2 yrs and let him rot if he wanted too, sure he'll get his 40 million but he would waste away for 2 yrs...see how well that turned out for deshaun watson being away for 2 yrs

Cut him. His next team will go through 9 years of misery like we did. I get he's butt hurt about being benched, but when you have rookie quarterbacks going to the superbowl and playoffs after learning a new system. You can cry all you want about new system and coaches, but it doesn't hold any water when rookie made deep runs into the playoffs. Stidham showed the system works. Having the 2nd worst NFL record in the red zone isn't due to poor systems, its because of the one executing the play. Carr lost his gunslinger mentality after his injury yet done believe he is the one being wronged. This is the NFL not popularity contest. Results matter and Carr hasn't shown he can be a championship quarterback.... ever.
