rodgers contract has a march 15 or 17 option bonus due, if the packers dont trade him by then they are stuck with that 50+ million bonus pushing the cap hit to 99 million, packers cannot just sit there with that in the contract

Just repeating what I heard today, dont know if it is true, they said Packers get hit with 40 million cap hit before June 1 and after June 1 15 million.

If Green Bay delayed the trade until after June 1, it would allow them to split the dead money up as $15,833,570 in 2023 and $24,480,000 in 2024.
