Tale Of The Tape: If The Raiders Can Get Aaron Rodgers

I just don't see Green Bay taking a mid round pick for Rogers. He's still in his prime. Rodgers will cost 31m in 2023, 40m in 2024 and 59m in 2025. That's a lot of money.

Rodgers came out on the Pat McAfee show, saying he willing to reworking his contract, if he went to a new team.

Just heard on Raider Report that after Brady retired, Devanete post a video of him catching a back shoulder fade from Rodgers and there is a rumor that Rodgers has purchased a home in Summerlin Nevada. This thing might have some smoke starting

He would have to rework his contract. We can't build a defense if all our money is tied up with the qb. That and we can't mortgage or future by giving high draft picks

The defense did get really beat up at the end
of the season in which really hurt; but we do have
quite a few young players coming up on the defense…

Getting Rodgers would work out to same as keeping
Carr money-wise….meaning we are not really going
to get much from the free agency and also the draft
as I think Green Bay going to want draft picks….

The problem is McDaniels is coaching for his job and is going to do whatever it takes to succeed for just the 2023 season, even it means not setting us up for success beyond next season. If what was reported is true, that Davis told basically told them they have 2023 to get it right, then they are backed in a corner and not able to make decisions beyond the success or failures of next season.

Davante posted a story to his IG of a pass Aaron Rodgers threw to him and I believe the commentator on that play said he was unguardable which Davante tagged that image saying, "Literally". And, then he did a tweet where he said he would answer questions from people which one of them was which neighborhood would Rodgers move to in LV which Davante said, "Mine".

Seems like he's having fun and trolling a bit. Also, I saw a tweet where people were trying to verify if Rodgers actually did buy a house in Vegas but I didn't see that confirmed.

That's why I don't see the Raiders trading up for a QB, or even drafting one with pick 7.
