In some ways, he's a more expensive Carr. His contract is so prohibitive, he had a down year, and will likely play only a year or two more.

The Packers would like to move on, but what can they get for him? A second? A first? His value is nowhere near where it was say two years ago.

    Just like Carr.

It's NOT a rumor. The packers want to get rid of the cap buster contract.

id give a 2nd this yr and 2nd next yr for rodgers, we will get a 2nd back once carr is traded off anyway, so rodger for a 2nd sounds good to me then we could trade down and pick more picks if necessary

Of all the possible FA Rodgers is the best QB of the bunch and would be the biggest upgrade over Carr. Your two 2s get one back for Carr is a best case scenario as far as compensation. I doubt wed get off that easy. Hed command a high cap % even if we could redo his contract. but I do believe hes head and shoulders above Brady and the rest of the field as far as what he brings to the table on the field. Its hard to gauge where his priorities lie, whereas with Brady if he signed here I know he feels hes going to win here, he wouldnt waste his time otherwise. Rodgers is a good QB or has been and he likes to surprise from time to time to make it known hes in charge. At least that how i see it. Not sure if he fits well into this Patriot way thing. I wouldnt be upset but id be surprised if McDaniels goes after him.

No to Roger's. Guy is not about his team and his contract would eat up any chance we have of getting good players in free agency. I've read too many articles statng his teammates don't like him and the front office despises him because they wallow in mediocrity with his contact and attitude

I just don't think Rodgers wants to learn a brand new system -- and I'm not sure he'd be successful in this one. Hard to teach a very old dog new tricks.

i dont think rodgers contract has a no trade clause in it, so the packers can trade him to whom ever offers the most basically
