I don't think it is in Rodgers' best interest to leave Greenbay and in his latest interview with Pat Mcafee, you can somewhat read between the lines that he believes that as well. I doubt Rodgers leaves GB.

Joe Burrow was supposed to be an Ohio State QB and he turned out pretty good. Justin Fields was supposed to be a Georgia QB and he's turning it around.

Just because they went to OSU doesn't mean they will fail. OSU just recruited a certain athletic type of QB in the past that did not fit with the NFL at the time they were drafted. That athletic type of QB is succeeding in the NFL today. Still, guys like Cardale Jones were good athletes but he was dumber than a box of rocks and I don't think he had a great work ethic from what I recall. That's why he didn't succeed. I think OSU focused on athleticism and bigger arms than actual QB play because they could out talent most teams they faced it didn't matter.

They also did that under a different coach who looked for Tim Tebow types over pure QBs who could also run.

What is CJ Stroud’s floor and ceiling? At worst, he’s another Carr/Cousins type of QB. Good to great arm talent, but not a play creator. If you watch tape from most of the year, you see a QB who does not create a lot of plays with his legs, but he is EXTREMELY accurate and can make every throw. That kid understands what “open” means in tight coverage. At best, he’s another Joe Burrow. In the Georgia game, his ability to create plays kept OU in that game. On several plays, my thought was “Carr would have Been sacked for sure,” but instead Stroud avoided the rush and hit his receiver for a nice gain. He clearly CAN use his legs when he needs to do so.

^^ My thing with Stroud is that I agree with you on that Carr is his floor, imo. Can he anticipate throws? Carr rarely threw a WR open and struggled mightily on timing routes because he didn't trust the WR would be open until he saw them open. If Stroud can anticipate throws then he will be a beast. I'm starting to change my mind on him.

Well, your video's first play shows he has anticipation. Carr would've thrown that behind him or in a dangerous spot, imo.

Unless we trade up, he will be gone at #7 and I don't want to lose any picks. Team has too many needs. I do like him as a QB though.

I’m still not convinced that any of the top rated QBs are “can’t miss” dudes. I think take BPA in every round.

I agree, but add some trade downs. #7 seems like a nice spot to trade down.

I normally am totally against “trading back” and I’m usually on the edge of vomit reading it on here, but this year sitting at 7, trading down for additional picks wouldn’t bother me.

We still have to see what compensation Carr brings. It could be a 1st. And, we could trade up.

I’m expecting zero compensation for Carr. Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see it. I heard on a podcast this morning that Carr going to the pro bowl is problematic. If he were to get hurt, the Raiders are on the hook for his salary. They need to make a deal NOW and hope that he agrees
