We make playoffs in 2023 and are set for the future.

This is how you build a team that wins consistently.

Instead, we paid Carr after his first three years. We signed him earlier this year to another extension. He has not produced and his salary handicaps our ability to sign players.
Carr has a no trade clause and he’s not going anywhere else and has said so.

How’s Aaron Rodgers looking without a great team? How’s Brady looking with a young OLINE and injured receiver corps? Tua went from extremely questionable to solid when they got the pieces around him. The Chargers aren’t setting the world on fire. Geno didn’t outplay Carr, and if you think so, it’s bias. Be mad about the salary if you want, but that’s the going rate and it’s going to get higher. You have a well thought out and written thesis. I am not just dismissing your argument, but I think most of it centers from frustration year after year and it gets put on Carr

true ,carr does have no trade clause but the raiders can just cut him also and save 35 million

it well deserved 9 yrs of crap while carr got paid 200 million and we already know his ceiling he has no upside and still continues making the same bone headed eye opening mistakes, dues a perenial alex smith, just good enough to stay a starter but not good enough to get you past the 1st rd of the playoffs

You missed the first part of my post. Have these Raider teams been good? No. Is Carr a guy to lift a whole team on his back? No. There’s two guys like that. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. No Herbert isn’t. There’s no one else like them. Matt Stafford was in the same position for years. He got the TEAM then he got a championship. His line got decimated, and the Rams imploded. Is Rodgers winning? No. Is Brady? No. Herbert is one game above .500- I know you guys all think you can just run right out and get a franchise Quarterback, but it does not work that way. I’ve yet to read who replaces him that’s going to make a big difference in this whole Thesis

    Which they won’t.

Joe Burrow went to a Super Bowl with one of the worst offensive lines in the league and a porous defense.

Anyone who strongly believes Carr will not be the Raiders QB in 2023 can get some good odds.

    https://www.oddschecker.com/us/insig...-of-the-future
Carr is given -130 odds, or an implied 56.5% chance to remain the team’s starting QB come Week 1 of the 2023 season.

Of course I remember someone who made the same bet a while ago and didn't pay up. LOL.

Yeah I’m a big Burrow guy too. I tend to forget about him. I don’t know why.

I don’t think for one second that they cut him without a guaranteed upgrade. Not going to throw in a rookie.
