Think Brady might be retiring after this
season….thing is Tampa might make the
playoff with a losing record; but not really
sure if their much left in his tank…he still
playing decent but he has decline some…
Was it Carr that got us these wins?
Or was it Adams and Jacobs?
Carr is what he is, an average to above average QB.
Herbert is what he is, a great QB.
We saw yesterday how Herbert, who was under constant pressure, willed his team to win. He did not win, but without an offensive line to protect him (five sacks), he still outperformed Carr.
Will we settle for mediocrity and inconsistency, or will we strive for greatness and a perennial winner?
If Carr had been playing with the same offensive line, receivers and running game that Herbert had yesterday, what would have been the stats for Derek Carr and the final score?
Sacked 5 times and pressured all day, Herbert still kept his team in the game.
If it had been Carr behind center, the Chargers would have lost 34-0, Carr would have been sacked 10 times and he woukd have thrown 4INTs and for maybe 75 yards. Herbert is THAT much better than Carr.
Well the way things look now…..
We are not drafting in the top 3
position in 2023, so getting that
QB to replace Carr in the draft not
happening….
Plus this team is playing to win games and
I am not seeing people on the team quitting.
Which has to say something about how they
feel about Derek Carr being the QB
Love wins that cause memories to fade.
How many more losing seasons under Carr do we have to endure before the vast majority of fans say it is time to move on?.
Interesting, not one of the Carr apologists answered the question about how Carr would have performed if he, not Herbert, led the Chargers yesterday.
When we have the third best QB in our division, we will not be competing for division titles anytime in the next decade.
And think about itÂ… Carr has the best receiver in the league and the best running back in the league and we are still 5-7.
And in every game we lost, except one, Carr he the ball in his hands with a chance to win the game at the end and DID NOT GET IT DONE. Six losses with a chance to win every single one of them.
