Wow, is it just me or does this really seem like money NOT well spent. Out of Washington and Richard, I thought we would go Washington. Yes Richard is better as a pass catcher.. but I guess the Raiders have a plan at backup RB. For a guy that was not very much used (Richard), this is a lot of money to invest for the amount of times he was used, at least last year. Yes had a few nice crucial catches, but not enough to justify this contract. Does anyone know if Crowell is in our plans for 2020? If so, and if healthy, then this makes MORE sense, but still not justified in my mind.. way too early to make this kind of decision/contract. LV is going to be a BIG draw for FAs and I feel we couldve spent it on a better overall fit for the team... JMHO.

Would you rather pay Hyde 2 years at 10 million or Richard 2 years 8 million ?

    I know my answer

this is as dumb as the Carr signing
    Dream out loud
    And make no sound
    Find your cloud
    And ride it round

One thing good about Richard is he does have great catching ability compared to Washington; but Washington is a better runner.....if they are not expensive I would have tried to sign both players and maybe the Raiders will....

If the Raiders have Jacob, Washington, Ingold and Richards back in 2020 in which I am quite happy with...then when draft time comes then that an area the raiders can leave alone....

104 receptions over the past two seasons. Sure we may have slightly overpaid but we could have done worse. $4.7 million guaranteed isn’t a whole lot when you look at his production as a pass catching 3rd down back.

Bringing Richard back rather than Washington was the correct move. Washington is more well rounded but it’s easier to find a cheap “well rounded” running back rather than a pass catching specialist with a unique skill set.
