Yep, all games are to be played in Vegas according to the lease. It was something like 10 games a year for the next 5 or so years. No homes games could be moved to another location. They needed to maximize the revenues early on in the life of the lease.

So the stadium was supposed to be ready for the pre-season games ?

Eh, no big deal if they have to play the two pre-season games elsewhere.

The way I look at it, the 4 pre-season weeks and playing the first 2 regular season games on the road gives the Raiders an extra 6 week window to have the stadium completed and ready to go.

Anything more than a 6 week delay and we've got a problem.

Agreed, given the lease the way it is, to maximize games, much rather get the 8 games in rather than none at all.

Leasing stipulations go out the window if the stadium isn't ready.

Long as the roof delay isn't more than 6 weeks, getting the 8 regular season home games in won't be a problem.

Then we can play the divisional playoff and conference championship game to get the total up to 10. LOL.

UNLV not a option, read this old article, this why they can’t use UNLV.

From what I recall, the main objection to Sam Boyd being a viable venue was the poor locker room facilities.

The pampered primadonas might have to suffer through a few games there.

Won't be the end of the world.
