Thread: The ABC Thread

With Carr as QB, the Raiders should change their slogans. . .

    Commitment to Not Being Hit
    Commitment to Being Stupid
Commitment to Throwing the Ball Away on Fourth Down

    The Will to Not Win
The Will to Throw the Ball Away
The Will to Not Ever Run

Jon Gruden: `I think he played really well today, Carr did, considering what's going on around him. I think there's a big story there. At least we recognize it. We're really proud of the way he's competing and performing with all the moving pieces.'

Carr just doesn't have it. As for a Carr replacement, we don't need a retread except as a stop gap for whomever we draft with one of our 1st round picks. If I was Gruden, this latest 4th down throw away should be enough evidence that Carr in NOT the answer going forward. I like Carr as a person. Great kid. But the Raiders need a warrior and Carr is not that person!
Why was Carr throwing at all? First and goal on the one and we can't run behind our great line? Bad play calling.

Yep. Carr seems to be a good man. Good work ethic. You don't have to worry about him doing drugs, beating or raping women, or being an off his rocker asswipe like AB.

I bash the hell out of him but wish him well in his future endeavors.

Just don't want him wearing Silver and Black any longer. Had enough of his gutless folding.

    Jamie Newman, Wake Forest

Here's a QB who is heading up the boards.

    LOL Just lose, baby.

The will not to ever run is a good one. Carrbage did run for a first down yesterday !
He slid down about 10 yards too early to avoid being touched, but he did get a first down.

He runs so rarely that we're literally shocked and amazed when he does.

In the previous FOUR YEARS Carrbage ran for a total of 18 first downs.

That's shockingly inept and pathetic for a QB with decent athletic ability.

Another reason he has to go.

He’s not going to trash it. He’s going to use a little “fluffery” to prop up the value of a Carr that doesn’t run well.

Watch Hard Knocks again. Gruden letÂ’s us know what he wants from our QB.

He wants a Gannon-type competitor, not a gutless wonder.

Very interesting. Wonder if he'll come out and where he'll go.

Is even I could have scored on that play at goal line. Middle was wide open.

    I am 61. Bad knees.

    Carr did not even try.

    The gutless wonder.

Not a big name yet. If he comes out he might be a good one in second or third round. Some say he might even go first. Scouts will be looking at him closely.

Better arm than Newton. More accurate. 40 time under 4.5 might send him into 1st.
