Welcome to the Anyone But Carr thread.
This is the place to have a little fun bashing the gutless wonderboy that is soon to be the Raider former QB, but more importantly discuss who we can/should bring in to replace Carrbage.

Have to wait till end of the season and see what Gruden does...plus we also have to see what available in the Free Agency...I mean yesterday was the Raiders last chance for the playoff and now the season is over....
One thing the Raiders should do is try bring Washington back as a backup runningback....plus was surprise on how well Parker did at RT
Should we target a top college prospect ?
Burrow appears to be a lock to be heading to Cincy. Would be sweet to be in position to grab him, but unattainable.
Tua. I really like the guy. Injury concerns just might enable us to grab him. If he falls to us, I swing for the fences and take a shot.
Herbert. Don't like him. Looks the part but think he's gonna bust. A bigger stronger version of Carrbage IMO.
Hurts. This is my darkhorse. NFL is evolving and although Hurts doesn't appear to have the greatest arm talent, it's not horrible either. He has the athleticism, mobility and running ability to make it at the next level. Make no mistake, the game is evolving in this direction. Has the experience at the top level of college football that you like to see in a prospect and has been a consistent winner. I'd be happy if we drafted him.
Those are the top 4 that I'm familiar with and have seen play. Sure the draft gurus here gave other guys and developmental prospects to discuss. Have at it.
Should we target a veteran NFL QB ?
This is definitely a viable ABC option. Whether a one year stop gap or a guy that might have the ability to give us better play than Carrbage for a few years, there's a few guys to consider.
Cam Newton in a trade ? Free agent like Tannehill ? Mariotta ? Bridgewater ? Winston ?
Like the possibility of Newton the best of the above, but have mixed feelings and reservations about all of them.
Discuss.
Think Tua going to drop; but might be able to get him with a 3rd round pick....still think he going to need a year to learn and get healthy so he can sit on the bench for a year...
Still LMAO @ Carrbage throwing the ball away on 4th down yesterday.
How fitting that his Raider career ends with him getting booed off the field.
What a gutless loser.
The bright side is we're moving on and there's hope for the future once Carrbage is in our rearview mirror.
Anyone But Carr !
P.S. Carr lovers will be bashed to smithereens in this thread. Do NOT even attempt to suggest we retain Carrbage or make excuses for him.
This is the ABC thread.
I have a fear that Carr will be back. I worry that Gruden will take the devil that you know approach. I would take a Newton if he had his old fire back. I would take Tannehill also and maybe Bridgewater. Winston needs his eyes checked. That kid can sling a football but throws way to many picks.
Burrows is a stud but will be gone I assume. I like Tua also not because I think the NFL is evolving. People said that when Vick came out and the traditional QB is still prevalent across almost all teams.
Imagine if Carr was the QB. Carr rolls out, being chased by Vern Den Herder. Carr is being tackled from behind. He throws the ball up into the stands on fourth down.
Game over. Dolphins win.
Has there ever been a more gutless QB than Carr? He could have run in for the score yesterday. Wide open lane. Doesn't even consider it. Scrambles. Could have outrun linemen to extend play even more -- even one more second someone may have broken free. One second.
I am sick of Derek Carr as a QB.
Hurts is a winner. And you're right that he would add a dimension to our team that we haven't had. The NFL is evolving, especially since you really can't hit QBs anymore.
I say we sign Tannehill to about $15-$20 million per year contract, draft Hurts or Eason in the third round and move on from Carr.

Sea of hands play is a good example of what separates a great QB like the Snake from a turd like Carrbage.
Another example: The Holy Roller. 4th down, Snake is trying to buy time but can't. The last fucking thing he's gonna do is throw the ball away. Snake knows he's getting sacked. Has the intelligence to intentionally fumble the ball forward. Couple of moments later the SD Chicken is having a heart attack and Madden leaves the field with another Raider win.
Compare that to the gutless idiot Carrbage that has running room but doesn't take it, and then instead of taking any shot at a pass into the endzone throws the ball away and goes home.
Not like the first time he's done it either.
You think Incognito, Jacobs, Maxx and the rest of the team don't see this and would like to kick Carr's ass ?
Think again.
The fans see it. The team sees it. Gruden sees it. Mayock sees it. Stevie Wonder sees it.

I'm glad this thread was started. I wanted a thread to vent on that disgusting 4th down throw away! You're down by 3 TDs and you throw it away on 4th down AGAIN! At that point you can't care if you throw an interception. You're at least giving your receivers a chance to make a play. He gave them no chance what so ever. We need a QB with a killer instinct. Carr just doesn't have it. As for a Carr replacement, we don't need a retread except as a stop gap for whomever we draft with one of our 1st round picks. If I was Gruden, this latest 4th down throw away should be enough evidence that Carr in NOT the answer going forward. I like Carr as a person. Great kid. But the Raiders need a warrior and Carr is not that person!
