Unless he's physically or mentally shot, the guy is looking at several seasons to go which will probably net him double digit millions.
He'd retire if he doesn't get the money he wants. Ndamukong Suh is still a FA. McCoy is not quite up there with Suh but I'd be willing to bet he and his agent are looking for a big contract. I doubt he wants to play for less than a high guaranteed deal.

McCoy will not retire; he can still
get minimum of 5 million dollars
    from a team at least...
As for Suh; he asking a lot but
once it get closer to pre-season he
    will get signed....
If Al was alive; Suh and McCoy would
be playing for the raiders; In my
opinion I would go with the rookies
and second year players and give
them learning time for the future...

Ok, then offer McCoy $5 mill/ one season. See how he responds (without LOL).
With you on going with the rookies and coaches to see how they progress.

I am just guessing with McCoy; he might
be well off and does not need the money...

I would love to kick the tires at least and see what he's looking for on a contract. If it's reasonable and team friendly enough why wouldn't we?

I'm sure they will or at least keep their ears open to any info on what his asking price might be. All it takes is one team to call his agent to get a ball park idea and the rumors will start spreading to other teams.

mccoy just lost 39.9 million for a 3 yr deal from the bucs,so he will look for that at a min, might be willing to structure a deal that friendly though with up front money and small salaries 1st 2 yrs though mccoy still put 6 sacks last yr vs suh whom put up 4.5 sacks

So pretty much the same as Suh is probably asking. Good luck.

Agreed, he just got cut because of that contract, the idea that someone else might pony up isn't completely out of the question, but likely he'll have to sign for less than he was going to make. If that's what he's looking for then I'll pass.

its gonna be less, question is how much less ??? i think a deal in the around 8-9 million is doable with up front money,he already got a big bonus and guaranteed money paid to him from tampon
