I've been a Raider fan since the 1960's but if we trade up to get Murray I'm DONE...There are a lot better QB's in next years draft!!

Think it more to do if Murray is there at number 4 spot....will the Raiders draft him....saying there are better QB,s next year draft can totally change due to injuries or someone just having a bad year....
If Gruden does draft Murray then I would have to accept it and support it; been some bad season's since we were last in the superbowl but I still support the Raiders no matter what...it just what it is
You'll never be done.
Fan since the 60's ?
That means you're probably at least 55 years old.
You've lived through the glory.
You've lived through the pain and disappointment.
Oh, you'll be pissed if the Raiders trade up to take Murray, alright.
You might even say 'That's it, I'm done' out of frustration.
But you're always going to be a Raider, brother.
It's in the blood !
I can still support the team like I've done for 30+ years but I can also bitch and moan. I stopped supporting Gruden when he fired Willie Shaw and tried to think he could do better. I was happy when Callahan replaced him and AL davis turned the defense upside down (10 out of 11 new starters in 2001) and finally pushed the Raiders into s super bowl berth. And the offensive players on that team were all Al Davis' picks. I've seen nothing from Gruden that leads me to believe he's anything but a personality that will bode well for P/R as the team moves to Vegas. Up to him prove me wrong that he's turned the corner.
It's not about Carr. I've been on the fence with him since the day he was drafted. It's about a bigger picture. And if you draft a QB in a horrible QB draft class early and pass on one of the best defensive draft classes in years, will only strengthen my resolve that he's the "same old Gruden."
I think you're mostly right about AL being the true architect of the very good Raider teams that did alot of winning under Gruden and ultimately went to the SB under Callahan.
I'm sure Gruden had plenty of input but that AL was the guy most responsible for assembling those squads.
Still, Gruden was a good coach.
I think he still is.
Always have felt his offense was a bit too dink and dunk, although part of that was due to Gannon's limited arm talent.
Think you're right about his talent evaluation being questionable.
But AL always said Jon was a good coach and I think he'd have liked to retain him had the Bucs not offered a king's ransom for him. Even though JG can be a hard ass and I'm sure had his battles with AL, I think there was a mutual respect there.
All water under the bridge now.
I'm glad DelRio is gone and Gruden is back. I'm happy Reggie is gone and Mayock is here.
Gruden is a fine coach. I'll give him that. He's a good O cord. But each inch of rope you give him, has to be done slowly. I'd feel much more confident if I knew Mayock was actually anything more than handing in his homework to Gruden and letting Gruden have the final say regarding player personnel.
Gruden will have the final say. Mayock acknowledges that reality.
No doubt that Gruden is the emperor until Mark says otherwise.
Gruden is definitely a hard nosed stubborn SOB, but I'm thinking he's gonna do a lot of listening to MM who isn't exactly a milquetoast shrinking violet himself.
Good emperor takes the sage advice of his generals.
Whatever happens thursday "i'll still be a raiderfan" thru thick n thin "i'll always be a raiderfan"
Let's hope they don't trade up to get Murray. I just don't think they're that stupid.
Last year I was begging for them to pick James, he was my guy and I couldn't believe he was still there. I knew there was a chance Miller was the pick, on this board we even joked about it leading up. Sure enough they took him. Later Gruden said Offensive Tackles are hard to get, and that is true. I was right about the talent when it came to that pick, but Gruden was right about the philosophy behind his decision. Last year they drafted two Offensive Tackles, two Defensive Tackles, and a Defensive end. People have been preaching that you build inside out for years.
When is the last time you felt good about a Raiders free agency? This has been the most satisfying free agency period for me as a Raiders fan in so long I don't even remember.
So far I'm going to say that Gruden ins't as crazy as his on screen persona implies, and that the media tries to exploit. I actually think he's far smarter than people give him credit, and teaming with Mayock to this point has not been disappointing.
I don't think they'll trade up for a QB, nor do I think they'll take one in the first round.
I'm hoping they use these picks to generate more, but as #4 goes, I think there is a good chance that Bosa will be there if no trades happen before the Raiders pick.
Everyone assumes Bosa to SF, but they have 3 recent first round picks on that line, and signed Ford. Staley is 34 years old. Andre Dillard and Jonah Williams could both be in play with that pick. There are 3 defensive players that better fit the Jets than Bosa. Allen the obvious choice, but Williams and Oliver as well. They also need help on the offensive line and Taylor could be in play if they are looking to further protect their young QB.
