Derek Carr on 2019 season: "We are building a team to win now."

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr held a YouTube chat today. Were you watching? To summarize:

    - He really likes the offseason moves the team made.
    - He's looking forward to the offseason workouts.
    - Antonio Brown: "Hardest-working people I have ever been around my life."

He also touched on Tyrell Williams, Trent Brown, Vontaze Burfict and other teammates.

How long before AB gets completely ignored in this offense just like Amari did and he has a feud with Carr over it?

    I say over/under 6 games.

you can forget about that happening a.b gonna get 12-15 targets a game imo for ff player draft a.b because the view is that carr is gonna hurt ab's stats and that why he is getting discounted to the mid/end of the 2nd rd which is a bargain and carrs value of 9th to 10 rd is ridicules value

This sure sounds like a major rebuild to me, don’t you think? Carr himself said ‘building a team that can win now’ also backs up the notion that this indeed is a one year re-boot. Notice how Carr said ‘building’ and not ‘re-building’? There is a difference my brothers and sisters. It seems I’ve explained this all before.

Nice to hear Carr back it all up!

Go Raiders and in Reggie, Mark, Chucky, and Mike Mayock I trust!

'We're building a team to win now'

Well, he better do his part or else the winning will come without him later.

I saw that F lowing I n B ullshit savior was still pumping his “not a rebuild” shit. Everyone on the earth KNOWS that it was a REBUILD, except this DOUCHE. When you purge your whole roster and replace everybody, it’s a REBUILD. This includes his HERO Reggie. But I put him on ignore, and I don’t bother trying to argue with him/them. They’ll just change their story like they called it from the start. One thing is for sure, whatever this team does is the greatest thing ever. It’s ok to just ignore the last 17+ years of proof. I think this team is on the right track now. I was one of the few that had been screaming for Gruden since Al died. He WILL turn this around, and the only time this team was relevant in the last 2+ decades is when HE was coaching.

You just compared AB to Cooper.
    That just happened!

Carr looked away from Cooper because he wasn’t engaged, alligator armed & dropped passes left and right.
    You think that’s AB?
That’s as bad as Sweat to #4!

    Amari Cooper with Cowboys:

    9 games played
    53 catches
    725 yards
    6 TD's

That's an average per game of:
    5.8 catches
    80 yards
    .67 TD's

That's not, awful statistically, but what about the context around all those numbers?

    - Only had 2 games over 76 yards out of 9 played
    - Only had TD's in 3 out of 9 games

Basically in the 2 games against the Eagles and Redskins:
    - 18 catches, 397 yards, 5 TD's

    In the other 7 games
    - 35 catches, 328 yards, 1 TD

Just like he did for the Raiders, he shows up once every 3 games. In this perfect scenario in Dallas where he was so great I just don't see how he's all that. I don't know if Carr just stopped going to him because of the drops, his checking out, giving up on plays, or what...
