With Parrella possibly not playing that could leave a big hole in the middle. We'll miss him on game day.
Player Profile: John Parrella
By RaiderInNY, for Raiderfans.net
In 2002, the Oakland Raiders signed free agent defensive tackle John Parrella away from the rival San Diego Chargers. In his 11 year NFL career, the 6-3, 300 pound lineman out of Nebraska has established himself as one of the hardest working players in the league and a premier run stopping tackle.
During the 2002 season, he played in all 16 games for the Raiders, starting 15 contests, on their way to a Super Bowl run. He was able to register 36 solo tackles, establishing an inside presence in the middle of the Raider defense, making the Raiders one of the best run stuffing teams in the league. His determination, hard work and leadership skills are assets that the Silver and Black love and hope that rub off on the younger players on the team. Parrella, who is the strongest player on the Raider roster, has appeared in two Super Bowls, in 2002 with the Silver and Black and in 1994 with the San Diego Chargers. He has started 110 league games while appearing in 155 games. Since being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1993, the Cornhusker has recorded 26.5 quarterback sacks. In 1993, he played in 10 games with the AFC champion Buffalo Bills as a rookie.
While at Nebraska, he was a second-team All-American and first team All-Big Eight as a senior.

This is blood for blood and by the gallons. These are the old days man, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choices left. And I'm ready for war.
Hopefully he will be back soon. If he is back after the next game or bye week we can use Rod, Dana, and AGB until then or perhaps we can place our De Grant there.
