Edgerton Hartwell released; Pakulak punting Friday

The Oakland Raiders released linebacker Edgerton Hartwell yesterday during the fading hours of training camp. I have been concerned for a long time about our lack of depth at LB and lack of quality play from our starting SLB. Right now, the best we can hope for is a veteran to get cut. However, we really need depth. God forbid if TH or KM went down with an injury; we have no quality players to fill their shoes.

I thought he looked good in the Niner game. He was making stops and was fired up the whole time he was in there. Oh well.

Can't say I understand why he was released to bring in a back up punter. But I didn't really see him making the team anyways. That being said, we could really use some LBer depth.
