Irons always impressed me in pre-season. Best of luck to him.
Why not? Competition...
At 6'6" - 285 Irons would be the biggest l.b on the roster. If I was Tomlinson, I'd hate to see that comin' @ me. Irons has 5 other guy's {Hartwell, Jackson, Ekijiuba, Alston & Brown} to beat out in camp & preseason to make the team in '08. How many l.b's do the Raiders carry on their roster during the season?
Looks like a beast...Could help on special teams...
i always liked this guy. why isnt he with another team
Irons looks the part physically but if my memory serves me right he wasn't very good at linebacker in the few games he played.I liked the guy but he's never been able to stay healthy kinda like Sam Williams.
I Like that Irons is back! he always had the NFL Look Physically but never really showed his strength on the field, hopefully he makes the team this year.
I really like Grant Irons. He is the type of guy you can bring in on third and long to rush the passer if the secondary is living up to their potential. reminds me of that d lineman for the giants Tuck i believe is his name. I hate to even type the word tuck
It looks like he might be hungry enough to turn some heads and pound on the opponents ....
Nice write up Ace!![]()
