I was skeptical of comments like this since I read Payton say Eli was a better QB coming out of school. Then last year happened.

I still don't think Little Manning is the stud Payton is, but if Chris is half the guy Howie was, I'd love to have him on the team.

I Don't Know About You Guys But Having 8 Players On The Team From The 2007 Draft Is Pretty Damm Good. I Would Trade To #6 With The Jets And Get Ellis.

3 expensive backs? fargas got paid, but nothing extravagant.
Dominick Rhodes restructured his contract to stay with the team
Lamont Jordan most likely will not get traded, because he's gonna get cut anyways.
Michael Bush isn't getting paid all too much either.

so that's one RB making good money IMO.

McFadden is still a possibility is all i'm sayin.

Sedrick Ellis is not a 1-5 first rounder IMO
the rest most likely will be gone aside from gholston aka ghost aka gholroid LOL

McFadden had a faster 40 AND shuttle than adrian peterson did, and also doesn't have a history of injury.
yeah mcfadden had a great rookie year, but he also had one of the best, if not the best offensive lines blocking for him. he still got injured during his rookie year as well.
it would suffice to say that mcfadden has had a very productive college career as well, without injury.

speaking of injury, fargas's name comes up he's susceptible to injury, michael bush is a big question mark, and rhodes is are lone back who might be depended on since jordan will be gone.

again, don't count mcfadden out as a good possibility

he's also the best trade bait for trading down.

I would take either Long or Dorsey. I dont think Ellis can play the nose in the NFL and Gholston is great but I am an OSU fan and he disappeared in some games and especially big ones. He got his ass kicked in the national championship game.

Personnally I would like long first but I think Ellis would make the biggest impact if long is off the board.

He can stop the run plain and simple and that is the department that we need help in.

and to the Rams taking McFadden.... it's weird I had a dream that the Rams took McFadden. We also ended up getting Chris Long, but after trading all the way down with the Packers and Long was still there for us.... I dunno, it was a dream!!!! and ontop of that I am all for drafting McFadden...

While Dorsey is an UT, he is such an amazingly good UT that it would be worth asking Kelly to bulk up with his 6'6 frame to play the NT, or put him back out at SDE. I don't think we can dismiss Dorsey that easily.

If we pick Long, we should slap a #91 on his back, make him his own man. Making him #75 would just increase the pressure even further. The benefit to this pick is that he can play WDE, while Burgess and Richardson can rotate at SDE depending on whether we anticipate defending the run or the pass.

Ellis would be good, but I'm not sure about him playing NT in the pros (JMHO).

Gholston will struggle in our system.
