I voted B. I agree with most of the comments above. My main question is, was it a mistake to pass on Winston Justice. I heard the Raiders loved him at the Pro Day. Potentially a great bookend for Gallery.

Overall I noticed we didn't take any chances on guys with character or motivational issues (Watson, Jean-Gilles, LenDale, etc.). That could be a good sign that Art intends to run a tight ship, no BS. We need that!!!

I think we did a great job I voted B+ cause we could have addressed DT or RB but didnt do so but what we did take was awesome!

Two starters on defense, a lineman to push the others to do their best on offense where games can be won or lost, and some develomental/situational players on the line and defense after that.

Our Mr.Irrlevant will probably make another team's roster before it's all said and done. Perhaps we get value off the needy Eagles there...

Man most of you people who think we need depth at DT, wake up, we have 6 listed on the roster, how many DT's do you people want? Obviously Ryan and Art think they are good enough to get the job done so we didn't see it as a draft need. We didn't need a RB in the draft either, if they decide we need another we'll get it after the June 1st cuts.

We drafted needs, except for Mr Irrelevant. A+ draft.

Alot of guys are "down" on the Sands signing. Dude gets no luv. Personally, I think we gotta handle on it with Rashard Moore, and the development of Hawthrone...but that's just me.

RB is another issue altogether. The "fact" that they were gonna draft Maurice Drew in the 3rd round tells me that they're un-satisfied with the back-up running back position and the return game.

Perhaps they see something new in Justin Fagas, or the other guys. But I wouldn't be surprised if they made a move on a guy after June 1st!

I believe the major gripe concerning the DT position is the lack of veteran players. Sure, we have Sapp, Moore, Kelly. Who else after that? Sands, Hawthorne, and Quarshie? Looks dismal.

Pessimistically, one can say that we have an over the hill player (Sapp), 2 NFLE players (Hawthorne, Quarshie), 2 backups (Moore, Sands) and 1 good/avg. defensive lineman (Kelly) to contend for our starting roles in the interior. This in a division loaded with talented RBs. In this perspective, we need depth at DT, preferably a vet with a penchant for stopping the run.

We did fine. For those griping about us not taking a DT, we grabbed one last year who was supposed to be a late first or second rounder and he couldn't help us at all last year. We have Rashad Moore who has talent and size. Whats the point of taking a guy (this year) who might help us in 2-3 years, when there were guys in the mid rounds that can help us some this year. No one who saw that O-line last year can say we did'nt need to bolster it. I'm glad we stayed away freom the big name turds who will eat themselves out of the league. Alot of other teams avoided them also. We will be able to get a serviceable DT after, if not before the June cuts. (If need be) They are always there. Lets see what we have in Moore, etc.

The team just might be thinking, take a guy in the 1st few rounds of the NEXT draft who has more talent and is more NFL ready. You can only do so much in 1 draft. We will have far fewer needs next year compared to this and last, and more cap cash available as well.

I totally disagree with Lima. Howard is a project and has a long way to being a good starting LB and Morrison and Clark are only thought of highly by the Raiders fan. They should have selected a DL. The Raiders are near the bottom 3 years straight in defense and their LB's are terrrible; along with their DL. If they were so good the Raiders wouldn't have the worst record in football for 3 years, as well as the worst rated defense in football.

The Raiders need to stop drafting DB's. The key to a defense is stopping the run and rushing the QB. Getting a ton of DB's has not panned out and it's not the way to build a defense.

The Raider draft sucks, just like the team, and it's fans. I can't wait to play you again, and kick the s**t out of you twice in one season (it's becoming a Charger habit).
