Need Help with Re-establishing Internet Connection

I have everything plugged in needed for me to do things with my PlayStation 3 from Internet use only (such as downloading roster updates for Madden 10), but it keeps saying that I don't have a connection established and I am not sure what to do. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

reboot your modem/turn it off then on then re-establish connection then you should be good
