RaideratPurdue is on a distinguished road
Matt Schaub?

Would the raiders possibly go after him in FA? I've heard good things about this kid and he could be the real deal or at least a solid QB in the NFL...this would allow us to get Calvin Johnson at #1 who is an absolute freak w/ the likely departure of Moss then who knows what lol

Shaub is being tenderd to high(1st and third pick) i think brady quinn or jam russ would be just fine.

I would much rather have JR and would question us tying up all that money in a WR. Also we would give up a high draft pick to get Shaub, so I say draft JR and try get a good WR in a lower round, if Moss is gone we would have at least a high 3rd or a 2nd round pick and there are a few good options at WR/TE there.

This is probably the 50th lets sign Matt Schuab thread.

He is restricted.

IF schuab is going anywhere, and hes not, then he will be signed and traded.

Schaub is good, but not worth givin up so much for. and to have a lot of money tied up on him along with our QB. Davis wants a QB that can start now while russell is learning. i'd say we should keep Walter, cut Error Brooks and sign a cheaper stop gap QB, Either Huard or Green will be avaliable from the chiefs. then there's Garcia, and drew bledsoe. now i rather have Huard, he is a little more mobile than the others. No Schaub.

Geez why don't we actually try drafting a QB? It actually works for most teams in the league, as crazy as it might sound.

Schaub will be signed and kept on because the falcons will likely give VICK 1 more season as qb.. Then after that they will decide who to part ways with. Vick flops, Schaub is Falcons QB. Vick impresses, Schaub is trade bait. Petrino will judge how Vick plays and what kind of season he is gonna have next year as qb and he is also allowing Vick to call plays too so Vick wont have anyone else to blame if he flops.. Thats what I think..

A 1st is too much to give up... If we can trade either Moss or JP and a 3rd to Atlanta, I would do that.

Petrino said that Schaub will be a Falcon for the 2007 season...

I Wonder if there is a Marques Colston out there in the Draft that would save us from drafting a high WR and we could trade our Cancer WR's

Highly unlikely

Can anybody even mention what Schaub has ever done. We can ill afford another palyer who did good in preseason and off the bench a few times. Draft Quinn or Russell!

Excellent!!!

Quit screwing around at QB and draft Russell, i don't even know why there's a debate, drafting a QB wiht the 1st overall pick is a no brainer. We have the qworst group of QB's in football, there is nothing but failed junk in FA, and Huard is 34, and has played 8 games in 6 seasons. Jeez!!! enough already with this FA ****, it's not working!!!

The Falcs want to see who to jettison after next season, Vick can be let go or traded on the cheap in '08.

Well what you say makes sense but after one more year Schaub is a FA and will not likely re-sign with the Falcons to be back up to Vick, and even if the Falcons wanted him back after that they would have to get rid of Vick. So Schaub will go into FAs and will likely sign with a team like Detroit.
