    realistic offseason additions to Raiders

everyone has a wish list when it comes to adding players in the offseason. some of them are unrealistic and some of them just don't fit because the position is saturated on the team or they'll command too much money. here are a couple of additions that are realistic in terms of fit and money for the Raiders:

    OT:
Eric Steinbach or Leonard Davis....why: Bengals have too much money invested into their OL already with Levi Brown and Willie Andersen making big money. Steinbach is a great OG, but has the technique and the footwork to move over to tackle. Davis won't be back in Arizona, and though we have a greater need for a left tackle, he will instantly upgrade the rightside of the line.

DT: Kris Jenkins isn't a FA, but has a good chance of being cut by the Panthers if he doesn't restructure his deal. the guy is a great player...had the injury bug in 04 and 05, but played well last year. he's still young (25) and he's a great penetrating tackle...a couple years removed from being considered the best young tackle in the league. Carolina might let him go because they have Maake Keatomu and Damione Lewis with big money contracts at DT.

IIRC Jenkins and Warren Sapp meshes as well as Al Davis and Walt Coleman
Is it better to be respected or feared? I say is it too much to ask for both?

Jenkins hates Sapp with a serious passion. It's like a fatal attraction type psycho thing. He blamed a loss to the Raiders and Sapp as reason for him becoming a depressed alcoholic. He wouldn't come here...Steinbach and would be great though.

As others have said Jenkins hates Sapp with a passion. Ain't no way these 2 could ever play along side each other.

If we signed Steinbach, he would not be moved to the tackle position. He would play at LG, and Mc. Quistan would move over to play RT.

I have great respect for that man. That (expletive) runs hard, I mean harder than anybody I've ever seen

Why are people high on Leonard Davis. He's just a big of a bust as Gallery. Just because someone is drafted in the top 5 doesn't make them a player. Arizona has a ton of cap room and a horrible offesive line, if he was any good Zona would lock him up and overpay him. There are going to let him go and that should tell you something about him as a player.
