You can't make him play...
Hi guys.... GreenBay fan here again. For those who think you can keep a player who doesn't want to play for you, I'll remind you that we finally had to trade away Javon Walker (arguably one of the better receivers in the league) and Mike McKenzie (arguably one of the better cover corners in the league) because they just plain didn't want to be in GB. You can talk about benching them, yaddy, yaddy, ya dah.... but if a guy wants out.. he's out.
Sounds like Porter might buy into the Kiffin regime, but Moss has made up his mind that he's 'outta there. He has ALWAYS wanted to catch passes from Brett Favre and seems to be pushing to get traded to GB or NE. Both teams need WR's who can stretch the field and QB's who can get him the ball. It could work out best for all involved to let him go. Neither Favre nor Brady would put up with RM's crap. Both guys have the complete support of their coaches and teammates. It would be put up or shup up time for RM - and you can bet either team's GM would structure a deal to reflect that. Take it from a fan who hates to watch JWalk in a Broncos uniform: move on. |

I was in your camp to, but now it is being reported that he won't take Kiffin's phone calls. That is a slap in the face, even if he still wants a trade take the call, if Kiffin is going to have a chance than we can't let players punk him like that, I would love it if he were to jump on board but it doesn't look like he is going to

We are a young team, with a new coach and the worst record in football to build on. Moss is 32 years old. I agree we should try to get the best deal possibel for him, but trading him away for a 3rd wouldn't be "retarded" as you say. Clean house of all the turds IMO. New Engalnd has consistently won with trading away very talented malcontents. It would not be the end of our franchise to get rid of Moss for less than market value. Not by a long shot.

I agree that Moss can still play but that doesn't mean a team is gonna give up a lot to get him. His value plummeted with his recent play and his cap #'s so right now I really don't even see him getting traded simply because Al still likes him and it doesn't matter how much the coaches and/or players might want him out if Al wants him here he stays bottom line.

I also agree with Southern Raider that it is better to get rid of the guy even if a less than Market value (whatever depth that has sunk to) than keep the guy here and have him poison another season and coaching staff. We can't keep going through coaches and expect to win, and if this turd is kept here, there is really no question that he will poison another season and coaching staff. Once they are poisened they are done, no coming back even if the player or players is/are 'flushed'. We simply cannot afford to take that chance. I absolutely knew the last HC and OC would not get the job done but we are starting fresh and this staff needs to stick. |

I personally don't see anyone giving the Raiders anything more than a mid-high 3rd round pick for him though. If some team is foolish enough to offer up 1st or 2nd round pick for him - I will be the happiest camper around. My worst case scenario is that Al Davis will refuse to trade him because the Raiders can't find anyone remotely interested in this bum - much less equal value for the Randy of old. Then he'll be back as a cancer and/or major distraction again which would really blow! |

no way pats go for randy imo, theyre a class organization and wont want a malcontent like him, dont matter they have 2 #1's. GB might be desperate enough seeing as driver is the only consistent target they have. But i seriously doubt al will trade randy. al is really stubborn and he knows randy has PLENTY of football left in him.
