Question david carr???

im out here in houston listening to the local sports radio teams are contacting texans about giving up carr they said minnesota offered a 3rd rounder and the radio host was all over indicating to make the trade now carr seems like he needs a breath of fresh air a new beginning hes been shell shocked ever since he got to houston not saying oaklands situation is "fresh air" but he is better than the current qb situation the raiders have

I think a 3rd would be a good trade for him. Who knows the change may turn his career around. I would rather have him then Brooks and we are going to need at least 2 QBs added if we shake Brooks cause Tui is going to be gone...

Maybe...Maybe a 5th but nothing greater than that...He hasnt done anything to prove himself as a star QB...Just another Jef Tedford failed QB.

Plummer won't be traded for a 5th.It will be higher then that.I will say, no team should offer a late 1st rd either.

I say trade Moss for Carr, straight up. Both players could benefit from a change of senery.

I think the best way to bring in a QB to compete with Walter as the starter is via a trade. There is not much available in Free Agency.

I like David Carr and think he has the necessary skills to be successful in Oakland. I would not be trading Moss for him, though. Porter for Carr and a pick would be better.

They'll be lucky to get a 5th for him. Horrible decision maker. 65 career interceptions. Just never got better in reading defenses.

i could see them getting a 3rd rounder for him.
saying that he is not worth a 3rd is ridiculous in my opinion. they guy still has a ton of upside, he is physically gifted and was the #1 overall draft pick. they will definitely get a 3rd for him. he showed much improvement under kubiak, a guy who has proven to be a good qb developer. he just needs to work with some one very closely to continue that improvement.
i say we make the trade if he is actually available.

He are a couple of things about Carr

He may have 65 total Picks, but he has never thrown more than 15 in one season and that was his rookie season.

His completion percentage and QB rating has gone up every year of his career, with the exception of '05.

He completed 68% of 442 attempts this year.

Here is his line in key situations in '06

4th Qtr:
73/102 (71.6%), 679 yards (6.7/attempt), 7/2 (td/int), 104.2 rating

Last 2 Min. Half:
29/45 (64.4%), 250 yards (5.6/attempt), 2/0 (td/int) 93 rating

I still would like to draft a QB, but that is pretty clutch.
