JaMarcus Russell he is going to be are man

found this in nfl.com

Every offseason, New England's Tom Brady works with former College of San Mateo head coach Tom Martinez, who cleans up the Patriots quarterback's mechanics.

JaMarcus Russell this season threw for 3,129 yards and had a 167 passer rating.
But last weekend, for the first time, Martinez worked with LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell, regarded as one of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL draft. And what Martinez said should catch the attention of everyone in Oakland's front office.

After working with Russell, Martinez told some people that he never has seen a talent quite like Russell -- including Brady. Martinez was highly impressed with Russell's "coachability" and his physical skills.

Martinez said that Russell is the type of quarterback who can do everything wrong on a play and still have it come out right. But the fact that Martinez endorsed Russell as strongly as he did only reinforces the notion Russell will be going to the Raiders with the draft's No. 1 overall pick.

The Raiders passed up quarterbacks Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler last April. They can't afford to set back their franchise again this April

Yeah, this was posted, but it was misquoted, purposefully I think, to make it sound like Martinez was only impresses with his physical skills. People who don't like Russell really hate him, it's crazy. I think the guy is Doug Williams meets Brett Farve. Thanks for the post

I don't like him,
he is a great athlete but until I read more stuff like this about how hard of a worker he is. I still see a Randy Moss type guy who according to many LSU sources say he doesn't practise hard, dosen't watch film, and really doesn't care to get better. It also really rubbed me the wrong way when he talked about getting paid at his press conference.
More info like this may sway my opinion by draft time though.
PS I don't dislike him as much as I dislike Troy Smith though

I agree. I just hope that if we go QB rather than RB with our pick, that we draft Russell instead of Quinn
