Mcnabb???
Being out here on the east coast I keep hearing rumors about The Eagles talking to the Raiders about trading McNabb for the #1 pick. Supposedly the Eagles aren't happy with McNabb anymore and are interested in Russell. Anyone out on the west coast hear anything about this? Any thoughts? Sorry I don't have any links or anything about it, just seems to be a hot topic in the local papers and t.v. around here.

Jeff Garcia, on the other hand, plays his balls off. I'd rather pick up Garcia for the Raiders than McNabb. |

I'd take either one, minus the chunky soup commericals that McNabb does. I suppose I could live with it if he did produce well for us, hypothetically speaking.

McNabb is pretty much the franchise over there, so I don't see that as a possibility.
That said, I think McNabb would be a good addition to our team. Now, I used to be one of his doubters, saying he was a bit overrated. I still think he sometimes gets more hype than he deserves, but honestly, he is a great player. He is a team leader, a good QB, and with a new coach like ours, we need a guy like him. McNabb is always ready to learn, and as a leader, he can influence others. He is a good QB with great intangibles, which is something we need with such a young coach. JMHO

Hell will freeze over before the Eagles trade their franchise QB, the city of Philly is still IN LOVE with McNabb, he will retire as an Eagle. It would be franchise suicide (financially) if they were to trade McNabb.

i dont think this trade will happen either. if we trade our #1 overall pick i dont want to get a NFL player in exchange. i would want to get more draft picks, just draft picks and lots of them

McNabb is not overrated. he was putting up monster numbers before he got hurt....and the bottom line is that they've been in the NFC title game 5 out of 7 years with a SB appearance to boot. could you imagine what he could do with both Moss and Porter?? if anything, outside of Philly, the guy is underappreciated for what he's done with the group of receivers he's had (outside of the year and a half he had with TO...and he should get props for putting up with that trainwreck).
Garcia is not better than McNabb. not even close. call it familiarity with the Eagles offense because of Marty Morningweg being their OC. someone's got to be smoking some serious crap to want Garcia over McNabb. Philly would never trade the face of their franchise. |
