Green Could Still Land In Oakland

Though he has yet to even receive an interview, there continues to be talk in league circles that former Vikings and Cardinals coach Dennis Green could be the next coach of the Oakland Raiders.

The scuttlebutt is that Green's relationship with mercurial (thanks, Tiki) receiver Randy Moss and his ability to get through to guys with bad attitudes could make him an attractive candidate.

Not sure how much I'd like to hand the HC reins over to a college OC. If Sark is selected, and I'm Ryan... I'd feel slighted. JMHO.

Ryan has no grsape on offense and thats what we need not defense right now.

Indeed, Ryan's experience had been on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not sure how much exposure he's had on the offensive side of the ball. With a top knotch OC calling the plays he'd be fine. We all know that he can motivate... which is more than what Art did. The interesting thing is that offensive players seem to think that he'd be great as a HC.

To that point, there have been several defensive DCs that have made good HCs.

IMO - Art fired himself by hiring a OC with an outdated playbook. Then, being loyal to him to a fault. He propably would have done alot better with a real OC... as Ryan would.

That said, I can tell you that I would be very worried with Ryan as HC and Sark as OC. Not enough experience at either position.

I dont think ryan would make a good HC although i think sark would he'd need a good vetran presence as his OC and Asst head coach.

No defensive coaches make good HC but they would need to have a graspe of offense. Rob and rex are like there dad, they just dont no any.
