Bill Parcell again?

We have heard over the years about the friendship between Bill and Al. Do you think it is possible that Bill will leave the boys and become our GM or Asst. GM?
He loves the game and knows how to evaluate talent. He would also give us credibilty.
Any chance this could happen?

I don't think it will happen.....Bill Walsh is a friend of Al and he was available but never was offered the job.....Plus Parcells knows Al too well and knows he could never work for him...

Parcells like to have total control over his roster and staff.
Al Davis will never give that to anyone, not even Parcells.
The only reason Parcells is talked about as quitting Dallas is because he was lumbered with TO and now wants rid. It will come down to a TO or me game in Dallas and you can bet Parcells wins, otherwise Jones will be seen as a big meddler like Al Davis.

i don't think it would work with the Tuna unless one is willing to differ to the other. i don't think either would want to do that.

I don't think he would and I wouldnt' want him cause of his age and every year it will be "Will the Tuna retire". I rather get a young coach who will coach here for awhile if successfull.

Parcell will never coach here cause he doesn't want to ruin his friendship with AL....it didn't work with Jones either...he needs to retire and be done...

Parcells has a clause in his contract that he could leave the Cowboys to become a GM. I saw someone mention his age, does age matter when it comes to the General Manager position?

Because of Al's friendship of Parcells I think that this would be the likely scenario due to trust.

They both have great football minds, so why not? Parcells knows how to draft, he is a great evaluator of talent.

I would love to see this happen personally.

Jones IS a big meddler, he went out and got T.O. all on this own. The only reason why he is given a pass in the press is because he kisses there

Typical media bias. A guy like Davis who actually understands football but does not go out of his way with the media is painted as an idiot. And a guy like Jones who can hardly tell a football from a golfball goes out, signs an idiot in T.O., but is chumy with the press, is portrayed as a brainiac and not called out for his constant meddling, that one would think he should not be doing in the first place given his knowledge or lack thereof with X's & O's.
