Mora Jr. & Schaub

Any possibility that we hire Mora Jr. as HC and bring over Matt Schaub. That will give us a young QB that can start right away and we can draft the best possible player at #1 (maybe Peterson) ??

why would the Falcons let go of Schaub when Vick has been so inconsistent. Schaub is a good insurance policy for them.

They're going to protect Schaub. So whomever signs him is going to have to fork over some draft pick(s).

Jim Mora Jr. is a defensive minded head coach... needless to say, we wont be hiring him with Rob Ryan on board... Matt Schaub I'd take in a heartbeat though....

i vote since the falcons need recievers lets send them jerry porter for schaub.if that works then trade lamont and one of our four round pick to the Giants for shockey and jacobs.draft johnson in the first and steve smith in the second. oh and release brooks and find a good oc and i personally gaurantee the playoffs.

I believe this is correct, in fact it is my understanding that cap wise it would be suicide to do so.

Plus, Schaub will be a free agent in 2008 which means if they don't deal him this year, he will be able to just walk away and the Falcons would get nada. It seems that they have made the decision to stick with Vick, so look for Schaubb to get moved this off-season.
