The St. Petersburg Times reports the Oakland Raiders are attempting to trade WR Randy Moss and only asking for a third round draft pick in return.

We should definitley not be "asking for anything". We should let the teams make their offers, and go from there. I would think that would be the obvious way to do things, instead of basically setting a limit on a guy that could actually get a lot more.

Or...perhaps this is the St. Petersburgh Times trying to make up a story to lower his value. I don't think we can even begin shopping him yet anyway...

All he;s worth at this point -- Moss is irrelevant in the landscape of the NFL, no longer a top tier WR and widely considered a malcontent.

He hasnt pulled off many antics here in Oak., but the facts remain, his numbers are on the decline, he seems unmotivated and no team is going to give up a 1st rounder, or a high 2nd rounder for this guy at this poiint of his career...

We made a good deal to get him at that time, but the facts are, he hasnt turned out to be the dominating factor he once was and Minn. did a good job in hindsight moving him and moving forward...
