Schaub, Atlanta 1st and 2nd Rd. Picks for Calvin Johnson

This was posted in a rumor for Ben Maller. IF we could even get close to this in a trade, it would be incredible. Sign a FA OL, a FB, and Eric Johnson and then trade our 2nd rd pick and Porter (and change if needed) and grab Marshawn Lynch. We would be in the playoffs for sure. Obviously, this assumes Johnson comes out which he probally will.

Sounds like a reasonable trade.

I think the major reason we would want to trade down is so we don't have to pay some rook a $70 million dollar contract. But seeing as how Schaub is a RFA its going to take a hell of a deal to ink him to a contract extension.

Which FA OL?
Which FB?
How's Calvin Johnson's DT play?
And with Schaub getting more snaps in Atlanta, think they'll let him go?

DT-Sands plays more DT as a run stuffer, Move Kelly back out to end and end Brayton, problem solved...maybe not solved but improved

Atlanta is 7-7 with a very low SOS of .451 with their last 2 opponents being the Panthers and Eagles. They're currently drafting 13th. If they lose out they'll be drafting somewhere between 7th and 11th.

If we moved Kelly and Brayton end to end on a running play, the QB would call for an audible and have plenty of time to throw on a weak pass rush.

Schaub is the best possible Qb available next year in including the draft and all of free agency.

Hell no! Shaub is rated below Walter, Collins & Brooks. He has had 1 good game in the NFL & this year has thrown 4 INTs...

Shaub for Porter straight up otherwise let them deal with the contract issues that he is going to cause...

Throwback, what has Brady Quinn proved? He's proved that he cant' win a bowl game, and has a 70% QB rating against top 20 teams and a 126% rating against non top 20 teams.

You must not know football; Schaub has kicked butt in 2 preseasons and he had to start against the 2 times superbowl champ pats and had a monster game.

Bill Belicek said he was the best young QB in the NFL.

Using your ridiculous logic, then what had Sean Payton proved as a head coach; nothing. WE're you one of those calling me an idiot for wanting him before Shell was hired.

It's called evaluating talent; and so far; especially after looking at all of the posts at the start of the year. Many Raider fans are as bad as the RAiders at evaluating talent.

Russell is another one who greatly struggles against good teams. Against their toughest opponents, Auburn and Florida, Russell could not handle a blitz and threw 2 key interceptions and had 2 fumbles as well; in those 2 games LSU scored a total of 13 points.

Russell has always had problems against better teams, but because he's a cool guy and looks cool and Mel Kiper has a crush on him, now everyone wants him; it's ridiculous.

Quinn? Whatever.

How about Shaub and Griffith FB for porter straight up...or maybe we would include a 4th or 5th rounder. That I would do it fixes 3 problems

1- Porter is gone
2- We have a QB option (not saying Shaub is the answer)
3- We have a real FB
