David Carr has a month to prove something, and it must be something big. If he fails, coach Gary Kubiak will have to consider the David Carr Experiment one that blew up in his face. Kubiak does have Jake Plummer's phone number in Denver. He knows how badly Chiefs backup Damon Huard wants to start again.

Carr is from California and word is his family are Raider fans

Now see, that's the kind of vet the Raiders could go after, and have a "Gannon-esque" impact with the Raiders.

He's a good QB, but something just seems to "not fit" in Houston -- I can't put my finger on it, but perhaps a change of scenary would be a decision.

Lets say Jerry Porter, our 3rd compensatory, and Jake Grove for David Carr.

You add Adrian Peterson to that back-field to support Carr, and viola, you might be onto something. If nothing else, with the Raiders defense, the offense would have the ingredients of being a capable unit!

Thumbs up

I have been thinking the same thing recently since Jake Plummer has been benched and Texans are close to ending the Carr experiment. Kubiak has had a lot of success with Jake Plummer, so to me it just makes sense for both parties involved to part ways. I for one would LOVE to give Carr a shot here in Oakland, he's from Cali and I too read somewhere (I think in a "Carr to Oakland" article earlier this year) that his family are big time Raider fans, I think he would fit in much better here in Oakland. If we can bring David Carr in here in the offseason, we can focus on going after Adrian Peterson in the draft. Could you imagine having both Carr and Peterson in silver & black? hopefully behind an improved O-line through free agency.............now that would be niiiiice.
