Eddie D., future owner of the Raiders?
http://www.mercextra.com/blogs/kawak...ie-d/#more-204
Found this interesting blog by Kawakami in the San Jose Merc. He made some interesting points/arguments as to why this could/would happen. I, for one, wouldn't be all that unhappy if this ever happened - in fact, I would be excited. So, Nation, how would you feel if Eddie D. bought the Raiders? And please don't hijack this thread with hateful and childish opinions of the 49'ers, or Al Davis isn't going anywhere, or how can we look beyond Davis blah, blah, blah. I want objective thoughts as to why this would be good or bad. A good owner is a good owner and DeBartolo was damn good. Thoughts.

That's been a rumor for 3 years now and isn't going to happen. He has some very shady deals and literally is a convicted criminal who avoided jail time. He has ties to gambling as well.
Eddie D. is very overrated. HE was a spoiled rich kid from family money who bought the best players he could and sparing no cost to do so. In todays' cap era, Eddie D. would not do very well. He's done in the NFL. |

What makes him a scheister and a fraud? I thought scheister was a deragatory remark for a lawyer? Who did he defraud?

He's a convicted felon. He tried to bribe the governor of Louisiana with a suitcase full of cash....
