Shell says that Walter is the starter
on KSFO they asked Shell if Brooks is able to come back next week, who is your starter. He says "Andrew Walter"

Where are you guys getting this? I heard the same interview.
He said Walter would start but nothing was said about Brooks being healthy. The conversation went like "Going off what you've said, Brooks is still a couple weeks out. I know it's a week away but do you know who is going to be starting? Walter if he's healthy?" Shell "Yes, Walter right now." They were talking about Walter being healthy not Brooks. Either way, Walter is starting so that's good. I just hope it stays that way once Brooks is healthy.

If Walter wins again before Brooks is fit the question is moot.
Walter = future & present. We're not going to make a run at the playoffs, so Shell and Davis will already have made the decision to find out what Walter can do. The coaching staff are making some okay decisions, e.g. not risking aggravating an injury today, taking him out after the INT and the Jordan debacle. If he does not come on as expected, we can look at drafting another QB or finding another in free agency or look at Brooks.
